Expanding Frontiers (ExF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing Brownsville-RGV students, veterans, and aspiring entrepreneurs with hands-on training in the NewSpace and related high tech industries. 

Position Summary

We are looking for a part-time intern with CAD experience to be responsible for supporting Expanding Frontiers and its tech startups with their CAD modeling, physics simulations, 3D printing, and CNC machining needs. This position is perfect for recent graduates, current graduate students, and upper-level undergraduates.

Expanding Frontiers is a tech accelerator focused on spinning startups based on NASA technologies. Submit your application to be considered for this project-based internship with Expanding Frontiers and its growing network of tech startups.

Successful applicants will demonstrate:

• Familiarity with CAD fundamentals
• Experience with simulation software (e.g. Feko, NX, COMSOL) is preferred
• Experience with procedures and best practices for 3D printing
• Experience with CNC machines
• Some programming experience (Python or similar)
• Flexibility to pick up and learn new skills
